This rule is used to validate:

• Responsible School Code

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• School (Student School Enrolment)
• Responsible School Effective Date
• Registration Start Date
• Registration Exit Date

Where a student has a current responsible school record and the student is also currently enrolled with at least one other school.

• Current enrolment meaning that the current date is within the range of the start and exit date on the school enrolment
  • “Currently responsible” means the school on the student’s most recent responsible school record (based on the effective date) where the responsible school’s effective date is equal or prior to current date with a Has Responsible School = Yes.

This rule ignores school enrolment records with any of the following:

• Is Deleted = Yes
• Is for ADLC (S.0099) or CFED (S.1363)
• Enrolment Type Codes: 600, 402, 403, 412, 413
• Grant Program Codes: 620, 621, 622, 623
• Lloydminster Public (A.3170), Lloydminster Roman Catholic (A.4870)
• Out of Alberta - School Authority Types 20

This rule will set the student’s responsible school status next scan date to the next available start date or exit date across all not deleted school enrolments for student.

This rule ignores school enrolments with a school year prior to 2019/2020.

This rule sets the responsible school status record's Next Scan Date to the earliest of these future dates:

• the next available start date or exit date +1 across all current or future not-deleted school enrolments for student OR
• the next future effective date of the student’s responsible school record.

The next scan date needs to be set whether the rule passes or fails if there are future dates available as long as the following is true of the current responsible school record:

• the responsible school record is not deleted
• the has responsible school value is “Yes”
• has a responsible school code specified.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

• {School Code} is the school code of the school on the school enrolment record.
• {School Description} is the school description of the school on the school enrolment record.
• {ListOfSchoolCodes} are the school codes that have the concurrent enrolment which triggered the rule.
