This rule is used to validate the following data in a Student Credential record:
To perform this validation, the following information is used:
Description
When a credential has been awarded, e.g. Alberta High School Diploma, a subsequent lower order credential, e.g. General High School Diploma, will not be awarded through the Submit Credential Awarding Multiple service.
Also, if the General High School Diploma has been awarded and the student has achieved the Alberta High School Diploma - this credential is considered equivalent to General High School Diploma and therefore will not be awarded during the bulk awarding process.
Effective Period
- This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
Credential was not awarded. A higher order or equivalent credential was already awarded to the student.
