Validate Student by Marks
A request will be made from Secure Identity & Access Management System (SIAMS) after the SIAMS User has entered in Student specific information that will be used to make the PASI Validate Student by Marks request.
Service Request Information
The request contains the following:
- Alberta Student Number (ASN) for Student
- School Code - identifies a school that the Student has been enrolled or received an evaluated mark from
- Courses and Marks Item 1
- Course Mark Value – official mark for Student in a course
- List of Course codes – course codes to search for course mark value identified.
- Courses and Marks Item 2
- Course Mark Value – official mark for Student in course
- List of Course codes – course codes to search for course mark value identified.

Validation Rules
PASI will validate the information submitted using the following validation rules:
Course Code Mapping
If the list of course codes contains one contains one of the following courses codes, add the equivalent 39xx course code to the list before searching for the Course Mark Value.

- for ELA3115 add ELA3915
- for FLA3304 add FLA3904
- for FRA3312 add FRA3912
- for MAT3200 add MAT3900
- for MAT3216 add MAT3916
- for SCN3230 add SCN3930
- for SCN3260 add SCN3960
- for SST3150 add SST3950
- for SST3151 add SST3951
Identify Proofing Response
PASI will return a response to SIAMS regarding the success (True) or failure (False) of the identity proofing based on the information provided. In the event that errors are encountered they will be returned as part of the response.

Response Information
For successful requests, PASI will return either a True or False value as outlined above. If the request is rejected, a value of False will be returned along with a list of the rejection messages.
