The personal information collected through the Teacher Workforce Information System (TWINS) Self Service portal is for the purpose of updating and establishing registries accuracy, conducting statistical, evaluative and financial analyses and forecasting related to teachers and teacher leaders, contacting teachers and teacher leaders regarding Alberta Education and Childcare surveys, employment details and to deal with issues pertaining to disciplinary matters. This collection is authorized by sections 4(a) and (c) of the Protection of Privacy Act and sections 3(3) and 32 of the Certification of Teachers and Teacher Leaders Regulation.
