This rule is used to validate:

• Reference ID (Section)

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• End Date
• Start Date
• School Code (Section)
• Governing School Authority
• Governing Authority Effective Date
• Governing Authority Expiry Date
• Organization Status Is Active
• Organization Status Effective Date
• Organization Status Expiry Date

The section must be associated to a school that has an active authority for the entire duration of the Section (from the Section Start Date to the Section End Date) when Section Start Date and End Date are provided.
All SADS effective dates are 1978-01-01 so if rule fires for sections in School Year prior to 1979 it will fail.

Effective Starting School Year: 1978/1979

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

• Invalid Section Period. The School Authority associated to the Section ({SchoolAuthorityCode}) is not active for the duration of the Section (from {SectionStartDate} to {SectionEndDate}).

Where:

• {SchoolAuthorityCode} means the School Authority associated to the School Code on the section record.
• {SectionStartDate} means the section start date for the section record
• {SectionEndDate} means the section end date for the section record

This rule applies to:

• Release 8.08 - F8835 - PED Deliverable - PART 2 - Updated to reflect changes in the data structure introduced as part of this feature.
