The Provincial Approach to Student Information (PASI) program has established a solution that is:
- a repository of Student information
- available on-line in real time
- shared between individuals and organizations who required access to the information including: students, parents, Schools, school authorities and Alberta Education.
The objective of this solution is to enable improved student learning opportunities by providing the right information, to the right people, at the right time.
The PASI solution consists of the following primary components:
| PASI Core | The PASI Core is responsible for managing and processing the data within PASI. The PASI Core also provides the interfaces that other systems when Integrating with PASI to manage and retrieve PASI data. |

| PASIprep | PASIprep provides a user interface to manage and access the information within PASI. PASIprep is primarily used by Alberta Education users and schoo/authority users for PASI functionality that has not been integrated into their local Student Information System (SIS). |
| myPass | myPass provides a secure self-service website that offer access to the student’s information. myPass is primarily used by students and their parent/guardians. |
