To perform this validation, the following information is used:
Description
The following elements of an Exam Sitting cannot be modified when there are associated exam mark records, which includes deleted exam mark records:
- Exam Component
- Writing Centre
The Exam Mark records must be linked to a different Exam Sitting before the Exam Sitting can be modified.
A Ministry Client User may update the record.
This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

Message
When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
- Cannot Modify Exam Sitting. There exist at least one active and/or deleted Diploma Exam Registrations or Exam Mark associated with this Exam Sitting. Exam Sitting can not be modified if there are any related Exam Registrations or Exam Marks.
