Send Diploma Exam Mark Message (Marks Released)

After students have written their diploma exams they will receive a e-mail and/or myPass Message once the marks have been processed informing them that the marks have been released and are available in myPass.

Terminology

Primary Scenario - Send Diploma Exam Marks (Have Been Released) E-mail Notification and/or Message

This scenario begins once the Diploma Exam Marks have been released.

  1. The Assessment / Student Records branch checks for Exam Sessions along with the Count of Students.
  2. The Assessment / Student Records branch initiates a reminder message to the students that their Diploma Exam Marks have been released.
  3. The PAS system sends a myPass message to the applicable students after confirming that the same message has not already been sent.
  4. The student notification preferences are checked to ensure the student has opted to receive those messages.
  5. If the student notification preferences for those messages is set to yes an e-mail notification will be sent to the student.
  6. The student receives an e-mail notification asking them to view their myPass Message letting them know their Diploma Exam Marks have been released.
  7. The student logs in to myPass to view the full myPass message details.

This scenario ends with the student reviewing the e-mail and/or the full details of the myPass message.

Alternate Scenario 1 - Student has opted not to receive Diploma Exam Messages

This scenario continues following step 4 of the Primary Scenario where the student has opted not to received e-mails regarding Diploma Exams.

  1. An e-mail notification will not be sent to the student regarding the diploma exam marks that have been released. Note: The myPass Message will still be created and available for them to view in myPass.

This scenario ends with the student not receiving an e-mail notification informing them that their diploma exam marks have been released.
