Welcome to Teacher Workforce Information System (TWINS) Self Service

TWINS Teacher Self-Service is an Alberta Education self-service website for teachers to:

  • Apply to teach in Alberta
  • Request duplicate certificate or statement of professional standing
  • View the status of an application or service request
  • Update your contact, name, or Educational credentials

An Alberta Education account is required to access TWINS.

The personal information collected is in accordance with sections 33 (a) and (c) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the FOIP Act) (RSA 2000, C.F-25), section 225 of the Education Act, section 3 and 32 of the Certification of Teachers and Teacher Leaders Regulation and the Professional Conduct and Competency for Teachers and Teacher Leaders Regulation. The personal information collected through the Teacher Workforce Information System (TWINS) Self Service portal will be used for the purpose of updating and establishing registries accuracy, conducting statistical, evaluative and financial analyses and forecasting related to teachers and teacher leaders. The personal information will also be used for contacting teachers and teacher leaders regarding Alberta Education surveys, employment details and to deal with issues pertaining to disciplinary matters.
