Diploma Exam Registration and Mark Submission Timeline

The following is a timeline illustrating the different stages in an Exam Session where students would register, write, and receive results for an exam.

2Diploma Exam Sittings are created for an Exam Component School/writing centres declares they are offering the exam component at their location(s) for students to write their exams in. Sittings can still be defined after the published deadline in PASI, up to the scheduled date/time of the Exam Component the sitting is for. This allows schools/writing centres to adjust their sittings as needed.
3Registrations are submitted for students to write the examStudent (or school/ministry user on behalf of student) registers to write an exam at selected exam sittings. The exam sitting must exist before student can registers to write at that location. While a warning is displayed to users in the Load Diploma Exam Registrations screen when the deadline has passed, PASI accepts new registrations (and modification to existing registrations) up to the Exam's Time. The only exception is that student can only modify up to the Time

Registering before the published registration deadline is referred to as 'pre-registration'; students who pre-registers are guaranteed to have a booklet at the exam sitting with their names printed on it.
4Student writes the exam component(s) Student writes the exam in the exam sitting of their choice Student Published Exam Scheduled Date/Time for each component If the exam's Time is set after the exam's scheduled date/time in PASI, any registrations submitted to PASI after the exam's scheduled date/time is referred to as a late registration
5Collect late payment If student wrote an exam without registering, they should register after they have written the exam to pay fees as needed Student Yes (Payment Deadline) PASI will only accept registration/payment up to the Exam's Time. If the published deadline falls after the PASI deadline, the payment collection is outside the scope of PASI.
6Results posted Assessment submits exam marks / results to PASI Assessment Yes (Published Mark Submission Deadline) Assessment can submit results before the published date and they will be available immediately on myPass for students to view. The published date is generally the same date as the transcript release date in PASI's Control Schedule when transcript order items for that session will be released.
