Invalid Evaluation Transcript Message

Business Definition

The School Act states that the Executive Director of learner assessment may declare an evaluation invalid 8(2) and record a decision on the student's transcript 8(2)(d).

When an invalid evaluation transcript message is applied to a student’s record the following will occur:

This data must be updated using a database script. The following scenarios outline how to update the data.

  • Once a record has been added the only update that can be made to the record are the Effective Date and/or Expiry Date.
  • The Last Updated On and Last Updated By must be updated if the Effective Date and/or Expiry Date are updated.
# Scenario Database Update
1 Annotation added to student for the first time. Add annotation populating all fields except the Expiry Field.
2 Message in annotation was incorrect. On the annotation with the incorrect Message:
- Set the Expiry Date = Effective Date
- Update Last Updated On and Last Updated By
Add new “correct” annotation populating all fields except the Expiry Field.
3 Annotation should not have been added. For the incorrect annotation:
- Set the Expiry Date = Effective Date
