Assessment has the capabilities in PASI to award Waived Fees in a diploma course to students which can be used to pay diploma exam registration fees; the system will automatically waive the fee (i.e. apply a 'system waiver') next time they register for the diploma exam.
The granting of a Diploma Exam Waived Fee to a student in a diploma course involves a request and review process that engages Special Cases and/or the Director of Exam Administration.
If the request is approved, Assessment will be requested to create the Student Fee Coupon for the diploma course in PASI for the student.
This process considers scenarios where multiple students are registered to write a diploma exam, do not write or are unable to write the diploma exam, and whether the students situation warrants a Student Fee Coupon being granted to the them.
This scenario begins when an event occurs that prevents or will prevent multiple students from being able to write their exam in a diploma course at a Writing Centre.
The process ends with Waived Fees created for students, and the students have been notified that their next exam registration in the course will not require a fee to be paid.
This scenario starts after the Writing Centre has submitted their request for Waived Fees in Primary Scenario #1.
This scenario ends with the Writing Centre notifying the students of this decision.
This scenario continues from step 4 of the Primary Scenario where the Assessment identified that there are errors when generating coupons for students.
This scenario continues from step 4 of the Primary Scenario where Assessment creates the correct coupon(s) for the correct student(s).
