The organization considered responsible for an individual document is determined via:

• If Linked To Organization specified on a document, the organization that is associated to the Linked To Organization¹⁾.
• If no Linked To Organization is allowed/specified, then one of the following must also be true:
  • The organization is associated to the student By Ministry, By Current School Enrolment, or By Last School Enrolment, or
  • The organization is Responsible for the Student's Record.

A good example of an organization being responsible for a document is the case where a school provides the student's with a report card for a certain grade. That document cannot be updated by schools and is the responsibility of the school who created it.
