This rule is used to validate:

• Student School Enrolment record:

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• French Hours of Instruction
• Grade (Student School Enrolment)
• Grants Program Codes

Sum the French hours of instruction across student school enrolments for Grade 10, 11, and 12 within the same school year and have Grants Program Code of 221 (Grants Program Codes) or 211 (Grants Program Codes). If the sum is less than the minimum below (based on grade) and at least one of the student school enrolments have a GPC of 221, then generate an advice core alert for the student school enrolment.

• 712 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 'Early Childhood Services (EC)' to Grade 6
• 570 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 7 to 9
• 600 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 10 to 12

Following Student school enrolment records are excluded from the summation of French hours of instruction above:

• Student School Enrolment Is Deleted = True, Or
• Student School Enrolment Is Deleted = False And Registration Start Date is in the future.

This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

If multiple student school enrolments contribute to the summation of French hours of instruction, each enrolment will receive an advice core alert when processed by the Student School Enrolment Status Processor.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

• {FrenchHoursOfInstruction} is the min # that was determined based on the grade level of the school enrolment.
• {School Year} is the School Year (Student School Enrolment) from the record.
