This rule is used to validate:

• Preferred Phone Number

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• Preferred Phone Number

Where the user attempts to set the current preferred phone number as the preferred phone number, this rule will stop that by producing a rejection. The user can only set a phone number to the preferred number when it is not already the preferred number.

Include the following as needed:

• Effective Starting School Year: all school years
• Effective Ending School Year: all school years

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

• Phone number already preferred. The preferred phone number can only be updated to a phone number that is not currently set as preferred.
