This rule is used to validate the following:

• Diploma Exam Mark Reference ID

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• Component Mark Status
• Diploma Exam Mark Component Mark Value

A component mark value is required when:

• The component mark status is Regular, AND
• The IsMarkReportable element on the associated exam component Reportable is equal to ‘Yes’.

The rule is effective starting 2015.
(There are marks that violate this rule prior to 2015)

This rule is not applied when the user is deleting a record.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

• Missing Component Mark Value. A mark value is required for component ({ComponentCode}) of exam ({ExamMarkReferenceID}) because the component mark status is ({ComponentMarkStatus}) and the associated exam component has a IsMarkReportable value of {IsMarkReportable}.

Where:

• {ExamMarkReferenceID} means the exam mark reference identifier on the exam mark record
• {ComponentMarkStatus} is the long description of the component mark status on the component mark record
• {ComponentCode} means the component code on the exam component mark record
• {IsMarkReportable} means whether or not the component mark related to the component should be made available for reporting.
