To perform this validation, the following information is used:

Description

When the associated Diploma Exam Component has a Is Mark Reportable equal to ‘No’ a Diploma Exam Mark Component Mark Value is not permitted.

This rule should not be applied when the user is deleting a record.

The rule will be in effect starting in the 2015 school year.

Message

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Unexpected Component Mark Value. A mark value can not be provided on component ({ComponentCode}) of exam ({ExamMarkReferenceID}) because the associated exam component has a IsMarkReportable value of {IsMarkReportable}.

Where:

  • {ExamMarkReferenceID} means the exam mark reference identifier on the exam mark record
  • {ComponentCode} means the component code on the exam component mark record
  • {IsMarkReportable} means whether or not the component mark related to the component should be made available for reporting.
