This rule is used to validate:

• External Credential (Student External Credential)

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• External Credential Effective End Date
• External Credential Effective Start Date
• Awarded Date

The external credential submitted was not available to be awarded on the submitted awarded date.

This is caused by the awarded date being either prior to the effective date of the external credential or after the effective expiry date of the external credential.

This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

• Invalid Awarded Date. The {External Credential Name} external credential could not be awarded on {Awarded Date} by {Awarding Organization}. The awarded date is either earlier than the external credential start date, or after the external credential end date.

Where:

• {External Credential Name} means the name of the external credential associated to the External Credential Code submitted in the request
• {Awarded Date} means the submitted awarded date in the request
• {Awarding Organization} means the name of the organization associated to the External Credential Code submitted in the request
