Schools are able to grant a student with extra credits for a course. They will typically complete this where the student has completed some comparable work and/or has demonstrated the knowledge.
For instance, where a student has demonstrated comprehension in music by completing certain grades of the Royal Conservatory of Music, that student may receive credit via an Evaluated Mark for the music classes that best align with the Royal Conservatory of Music grade content.
This scenario begins with the student requesting credit for a course (for instance, they have passed their grade 7 Royal Conservatory).
This scenario ends with the student receiving extra credit as a result of the evaluation performed by the school.
This scenario begins where a School initiates granting additional credits to a student.
This scenario continues with step 2 of the Primary Scenario.
This scenario begins after step 2 of the Primary Scenario where the school determines that the student is not eligible for credit.
This scenario ends with the student being notified that they will not receive additional credit.
This scenario begins after step 3 of the Primary Scenario where the evaluated mark record is generated with work items identified.
This scenario begins after Step 3 of the primary scenario where the school must make additional updates to the evaluated mark record.
This scenario may continue from Step 4 of the Primary Scenario or step 1 of Alternate Scenario #3 (if work items are generated as a result of the update).
