To paraphrase the Guide to Education, a student is considered to have ‘Mature Student Status’ when as of September 1st of the current school year, the student has/is:

• completed new course work subsequent to the September 1st date referred to above, AND
  • 19 years of age or older, OR
  • A previously issued diploma or equivalent

The “previously issued diploma” requirement currently is not implemented by PASI and is still an issue that is under analysis.

NOTE: The definition on this page is not detailed enough but is being used by the OMC so it is being left as is until the OMC is retrofitted (if needed) to the updated definition.
