Rule 10011 - Invalid French Hours of Instruction For GPC 211

This rule is used to validate:
- Student School Enrolment record
To perform this validation, the following information is used:
Description
When an enrolment record contains a Grants Program Code of 211 (Grants Program Codes) the sum* of French Hours of Instruction must be:
- 238 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 'Early Childhood Services (ECS)'
- 475 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 1 to 6
- 380 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 7 to 9
- 250 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 10 to 12
Note: Effective the 2020/2021 School year: 200 or greater when the Grade Level of the Enrolment is 10 to 12
* The sum of French Hours of Instruction will be calculated by summing the total from any school enrolment for the student in that same school year that has a GPC of 211 regardless of the grade on the school enrolments for that school year. The sum will be used to comparison against the min hours.
This rule is not applicable if any of the following conditions occur:
- the enrolment is deleted, or
- The student has a school enrolment in the same school year with a Grants Program Code of 221 (Grants Program Codes).
This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

Message
When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
Inconsistent French Hours of Instruction. Student {StateProvinceId} should have {FrenchHoursOfInstruction} hours of French instruction when enrolled using Grants Program Code 211 in Grade {Grade}.
Where:
- {StateProvinceId} is the Alberta Student Number from the school enrolment.
- {FrenchHoursOfInstruction} in the message indicates a range of hours. For example, “at least 475” or “at least 238”.
- {Grade} is the Grade (Student School Enrolment) from the school enrolment.
