This rule is used to validate the following data in a name record:
Description
Names that are 3 characters or longer should be provided in mixed case.
This validation rule is in effect for all school years.
Additional Notes
Message
When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
{Name Descriptor} Name not in Mixed Case. Each part of the name provided ({FirstName} {MiddleName} {LastName} {Suffix}) should be recorded in mixed case. Do not record a name in all upper or lower case unless requested to do so by the student. (Name Reference #{RefID})
Where:
- {FirstName} is the First Name of the record
- {MiddleName} is the Middle Name of the record
- {LastName} is the Last Name of the record
- {Suffix} is the Name Suffix of the record
- {RefID} is the Reference ID (Student Name) OR Reference ID (Parent Guardian)
- {Name Descriptor} = “Original” / “Alias” / “Legal” / “Parent/Guardian”
