Rule 40214 - Missing Student School Enrolment for Course Enrolment

Rule NameMissing Student School Enrolment for Course Enrolment
Rule TypeWarning

Validated Data

This rule is used to validate:

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

Description

The student must have a corresponding Student School Enrolment (that has not been deleted) for the Course Enrolment. The rule helps to highlight the course enrolments that are missing a school enrolment.

The rule does not apply in the following situations:

  • The course enrolment is for a year less than what is 'Accepted' as a school year for School Enrolments. This is because PASI does not accept school enrollments prior to a specific school year, as specified by the EffectiveSchoolYear of the Accepted (School Year Type) code value.
  • The course enrolment has been deleted.
  • The course enrolment has a start date that is in the future and a status of “Registered”.

Rule passing sets “Next Scan Date” to the Course Enrolment Entry Date.

This validation rule is in effect for the 1989/1990 School Year.

Additional Notes

PASI Core process checks daily for “Next Scan Date”s in the past or set to today, and for those records creates a trigger record for the Course Enrolment Status Processor to reevaluate the course enrolment record.

Message

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

  • Missing Student School Enrolment. When a student is enrolled in a Course the student should also be enrolled in the school.
