Rule Type Rejection

Validated Data

This rule is used to validate the following data in a Diploma Exam Mark record:

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

  • N/A

Description

When submitted by public users or ministry, an ASN cannot have more than one undeleted diploma Exam Mark record with a status of Registered for sittings that have the same Course Code, Exam Period and School Year.

This rule is not enforced when the Exam's Time equals the current date/time or is in the past (i.e. not applicable to Late Registrations).

This rule will be enforced when the Exam Mark is submitted using myPass (used only by Public connected users and ministry users) or when the caller's organization is O.1 (ministry).

This rule is not enforced when the Exam Mark is being deleted or modified; the rule only enforces that repeated registration cannot be created.

Effective Period

  • This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

Additional Notes

School/authority users are exempted from this rule as multiple schools may try to register for the same exam from the same course code, exam period and school year for the student (e.g. in cases where students may be enroled in multiple schools).

Diploma Exams are exams with Exam Type of DPE and PDE.

Message

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Invalid Exam Registration. A Diploma Exam Registration record already exists for this student (ASN {ASN}), exam period, school year and course code.
