This rule is used to validate:

• Alberta Student Number (Student)
• Alberta Student Number (Student Credential)
• Alberta Student Number (External Credential)

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• User Organization Code
• Associated Organization
• Organization Association Type
• Credential Requirement

The Organization must be:

• Associated to the student through associations of By Ministry, By Current School Enrolment, By Last School Enrolment, or By Student Creation and the student has no enrolments OR
• Is a school with a Valid Student School Enrolment in the student's last year of school, or
• Is a school with a Valid Student School Enrolment for the student where the Credential Requirement belongs to the Certificate of School Completion
• Is a school that the student was or is enrolled in (non-deleted Student School Enrolment)
• When the Credential Requirement is the Student Requested requirement (HSED) there is no validation against the Organization.

Include the following as needed:

• Effective Starting School Year: N/A
• Effective Ending School Year: N/A

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
