This service is used to manage Student Credential Requirement Achievements in PASI. This service can be used to:

• Add a new Student Credential Requirement Achievement, or
• Update an existing Student Credential Requirement Achievement.

This service can be used to manage a list of student credential requirement achievements at the same time. This would allow a PASI Client to record its information in PASI by submitting the information in batches.

The service can be accessed by systems with the Submit Transcript User role.

The Submit Credential Requirement Achievement service can only be used by external users. The ministry can submit requirements but they would do it on behalf of a school authority or school.

The following information is provided when using this service:

• Alberta Student Number *
• A list of Student Credential Requirement records to be updated:*
  • Achievement Status*
  • Credential Requirement*
  • PASI Core Version*

The following rules are used to validate the information provided in the request:

• Rule 9002 - Invalid ASN
• Rule 9014 - PASI Core Out of Date
• Rule 9023 - Empty Update
• Rule 9062 - Reject data associated to Secondary ASNs
• Rule 43004 - Invalid Client role to submit credential requirement for student
• Rule 43015 - Credential Requirements Not Unique
• Rule 43016 - Invalid Nominating Organization
• Rule 43017 - Organization Not Associated to Student
• Rule 43018 - Invalid Credential Requirement Achievement
• Rule 44013 - Credential Management on Deactivated ASN
• Rule 44014 - Credential Management on Secondary ASN

If any of the Student Credential Requirement records fail the validation rules then no records will be created or updated by the service.

PASI will determine if the record being submitted is new, or is an update to an existing record and the information will be recorded within the PASI.

• When a request is made to set the Achievement Status to Not Assessed the service will modify the Achievement Status to Not Assessed and set the Is Deleted flag equal to true.
• When a request is made to set an Achievement Status that has been previously deleted to Achieved or Not Achieved the service will set the Is Deleted flag equal to false.

After updating the achievement within PASI, a Transcript Trigger is created to reassess credential eligibility based on the updated information.

The usage of this service is audited using Service Auditing including the auditing of Caller Information.

The following information is returned after a successful request has been processed:

• Alberta Student Number
• For each Student Credential Requirement record updated:
  • Credential Requirement
  • PASI Core Version
