This rule is used to validate the update to a business object record.
Description
An attempt was made to update a record, but the data submitted already matches the current version of the non-deleted record.
Additional Notes
This rule should be added to any new submit services.
For the Submit Student Record Document (2019 End Point and Prior) service, the rule does not apply in the following situation:
- When the – ‘Only relevant document for the document type’ – is the only field changed for a student document record, the rule will not be applied.
Message
When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
Invalid Update. The record being updated already matches the data being submitted. No update was performed.
