The Submit Diploma Exam Registration Request service is used to create or update the information stored in an Diploma Exam Registration Request that does not have a status of “Registered”. The service is intended to perform all the Diploma Exam Registration Request updates with the final update having the order go to a status of “Registered” or having the request be deleted.

This service can no longer be used to update the Diploma Exam Registration Request once it has been saved with a status of “Registered”.

This Submit Diploma Exam Registration Request service can be accessed by systems with the PASI System User role.

Once the request information has been validated, the service will create/update the following business objects:

• Diploma Exam Registration Request
• Diploma Exam Mark
  • Diploma Exam Mark Component
• Diploma Exam Registration Fee

Based on the list of Exam Registration specified in the request information:

• A new Diploma Exam Mark is created when there is no Diploma Exam Mark found with the same Exam, Exam Registration Request ID, and Diploma Exam Mark Student. A new Diploma Exam Registration Fee record is also created if there is a Fee Amount for the registration.
  • If the service finds a previously deleted Exam Mark / Exam Registration Fee record that has the same Exam, Exam Registration Request ID, and Diploma Exam Mark Student, it will undelete that record instead of creating a new record.
  • If a Diploma Exam Waived Fee is used to pay the Fee Amount of an Diploma Exam Registration Fee, the coupon is associated to the Diploma Exam Registration Fee record, and the Waived Fee Status is updated to “Used”.

• The service will also delete any Exam Mark and Exam Registration Fee records it finds with the same Exam Registration Request ID, and Diploma Exam Mark Student specified in the request information where the Exam is no longer specified in the request information.
  • The child Diploma Exam Mark Components are not deleted as it is sufficient to just delete the parent Diploma Exam Mark record.
  • If a Diploma Exam Waived Fee was associated to a Diploma Exam Registration Fee record that is being deleted, the Waived Fee Status is updated to “Unused”.

Based on the list of Exam Sitting for each Exam Registration specified in the request information:

• A new Diploma Exam Mark Component is created when there is no Diploma Exam Mark Component found with the same Diploma Exam Component, Exam Sitting Reference ID, and Diploma Exam Mark Student (where the Diploma Exam Component is one of the components for the specified Exam on the registration).
  • However, if the service finds a previously deleted Exam Component Mark that has the same Diploma Exam Component, Exam Sitting Reference ID, and Diploma Exam Mark Student, it will undelete that record instead of creating a new record.
• The service will also delete any Exam Component Mark records it finds with the same Diploma Exam Component and Diploma Exam Mark Student specified in the exam registration where the Exam Sitting Reference ID is no longer specified in the request information (i.e. the user wants to change the exam sitting for the exam component).

The Diploma Exam Registration Request Education Account Organization Code field is set only if the caller is not submitting the request via myPass public; the Organization from the caller's Extranet Profile will be used to populate the field.

The Student Activity record the for student is updated if the greatest School Year (Diploma Exam) of the associated Diploma Exam records is greater than the current Student Activity School Year.
