This rule is used to validate the following data in a Exam Mark record:
To perform this validation, the following information is used:
Description
When a student has an Diploma Exam Mark record with an Diploma Exam Mark Status of RE (Exam Mark Status) linked to an Diploma Exam Sitting where Is Special = true and is not deleted, only Ministry (O.1) users can add new, modify or delete any Exam Mark records for the same student, Course Code, Exam Period and School Year.
The Exam Mark record linked to the Special Exam Sitting must be deleted before other users can add/modify/delete Exam Mark records for the same student, course code, exam period and school year. Note that both primary and secondary ASN must be considered in this rule for the student.
Effective Period
- This validation rule is effective for all school years.

Message
When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
Cannot update Diploma Exam Registration(s) with Special Writing Centre Registrations. The student has a Diploma Exam Registration that is linked to a “Special” Writing Centre for {course code} - {course description} in {Exam Period} {School Year}. Only Alberta Education can add, update, or delete registrations for the same course and exam session.
Where {course description} is the Course English Short Name for the course in context.
