This rule is used to validate the following data in a Exam Mark record:

An ASN can only have up to a maximum number of Exam Mark (deleted and non-deleted) records in PASI.

This rule is only enforced on creation of the Exam Mark record to stop creation of too many Exam Mark records.

Effective Period

  • This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

Additional Notes

Since a student can submit as many registration as they wish through myPass, this is a ‘sanity’ check to prevent any malicious attempt to create registration records in large volume, The maximum number of Exam Mark records allowable is configurable in PASI.


When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Maximum number of Exam Mark records exceeded. Exam Mark record cannot be created as the ASN {ASN} has exceeded the maximum number Exam Mark records allowed to be created for a student.
