Rule 61005 - Student had no school enrolment on External Credential awarded date

Rule Name Student had no school enrolment on External Credential awarded date
Rule Type Rejection

Validated Data

This rule is used to validate:

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

Description

The Student External Credential cannot be created as the Student has no school enrolment in the School Year of the Student External Credential awarded date.

The logic to determine whether the Student School Enrolment is valid for the School Year on which the External Credential Awarded date was applied is as follows:

  • The Awarded Date on the External Credential is mapped to a School Year. A school year ranges from September 1st to August 31st. For example an Awarded Date of January 1st, 2011 would fall within the September 1st, 2010 to August 31st, 2011. Therefore, the School Year mapped to External Credential based on the Awarded Date is 2011.
  • The applicable School Year(s) mapped to any applicable Student School Enrolment in regards to External Credentials is the School Year value on the SSE. If no SSE record exists with a School Year equal to the School Year of the External Credential, then the rule will reject the update.

For instance, if Awarded Date = November 1, 2013, then the student must have a school enrolment for the School Year 2013/2014 that is not deleted.

This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

Additional Notes

Message
