Description
This rule prevents a user from updating a Student Document's Student Document Type to a document type with a different Is Organization Bound value.
For example, if the student document originally had a document type of “School Registration Form” (IsOrganizationBound = Yes), they cannot update the document type to “Canadian Issued Passport” (IsOrganizationBound = No).
Additional Notes
If the user needs to update the document's document type to a document type with a different IsOrganizationBound value, they must add a new document, adjust the necessary information and delete the old document once the new one has been successfully created.
Message
When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
Document Type Update Invalid. The Is Organization Bound value on the new document type must be the same as the old document type, indicating that a Linked To Organization value is either required or not.
