The Edit Medical Alert screen (based on the PASIprep Edit Item Template) will allow a PASIprep user to edit a specific Medical Alert record.

In order to access this page, PASIprep users must:

• meet the Medical Alert data access rules to update the record, and
• have the PASIprep Level 02 Permission - Modify Student, and
• have the PASIprep Level 55 Permission - Medical Alert Access

If the security requirements are not met, user will be denied access and will see an unexpected error instead, as defined in the PASIprep UI Guidelines.

This page includes fields for the following data elements:

• Medical Alert Type
• Medical Alert Message
• Medical Alert Reference ID - Read Only

This page includes the following actions in the Action Toolbox.

When selected, this action will return the user to the previous screen (either the View Medical Alert screen or the View Student - Personal Information Tab) as per the UI Guidelines.

This action is available always available.

When selected, this action will cleanse the Medical Alert Message field by:

• Removing any leading or trailing spaces
• Replacing and double spaces with single spaces (Note: this will not remove any blank lines).

Once cleansed, the Submit Medical Alert service is called to update the existing Medical Alert record.
