This service will permit clients to request an ASN Certificate for a single ASN.

This Get ASN Certificate service can be accessed by systems with the K-12 Organization Client role.

The following information is provided when using this service (* denotes mandatory information):

• Alberta Student Number

The following rules are used to validate the information provided in the request:

• Rule 9002 - Invalid ASN
• Rule 60002 - Secondary ASN
• Rule 60003 - Deactivated ASN

Once the Alberta Student Number provided in the request is validated, the service will create a Alberta Student Number (ASN) Certificate (PDF) that is then returned in the service response.

The usage of this service is audited using Service Auditing including the auditing of Caller Information.

The created PDF is not stored or archived by the service.

The response will contain the following when returning an Availability Status of “Normal” for a requested Alberta Student Number:

• Alberta Student Number
• One of the following:
  • Document (a base64 encoded Alberta Student Number (ASN) Certificate (PDF))
  • A list of Rejections (Validation Errors)
