This rule is used to validate the following data in a Student School Enrolment record:

• Student School Enrolment: Enrolment Type Codes

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• Alberta Student Number
• Country of Citizenship
• Student Citizenship Status
• Registration Start Date

When a student has an Enrolment Type code of:

• Exchange Student from a school outside Canada (413) or
• Student from outside Canada (414) or
• Visiting Student from outside Canada (416)

The student must a Student Citizenship record in effect on the Registration Start Date that meets the following criteria:

• have a Student Citizenship Status of Canadian Citizen, or
• have a Country of Citizenship.

This rule is not applicable for distance learning service providers ADLC S.0099 or CFED S.1363.

• This validation rule is effective starting the 2019/2020 school year.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
