Description

Highlight that although the student has challenged the course (course enrolment with Primary Delivery Method = CHA (Primary Delivery Method)), they will not receive credit for that course because they've already received credit in a Course Challenge Equivalent Course.

Course Challenge Equivalent Courses are determined by looking at Course Relationships for the Course included in the Course Enrolment that meet the following criteria:

This Advice will be presented if the student has an Official mark (with Credits) for any of the Course Challenge Equivalent Courses.

This rule is effective starting in the 2018/2019 school year.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Course challenge credit equivalency. The student may not receive credit for {course codeA} {course descriptionA} if they have already received credit in an equivalent course: {course codeB} {course descriptionB}.

Where:

  • {course codeA} is the course code on the course enrolment being validated.
  • {course descriptionA} is the Course English Short Name on the course enrolment being validated.
  • {course codeB} is the course code on the official mark being compared against the course enrolment being validated.
  • {course descriptionB} is the Course English Short Name on the official mark being compared against the course enrolment being validated.
