This rule is used to validate:

• Alberta Student Number (Student)

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• Has Disclosure Restrictions
• Information Disclosure Restriction Code
• Information Disclosure Restrictions (Student)

When generating DARs in bulk (i.e. submitting a request containing more than one ASN), students with active disclosure restrictions cannot be included; a rejection Response should be returned indicating the error if any ASN in the request has disclosure restrictions.

When generating a single DAR (i.e. submitting a request containing only one ASN), when that ASN has an active disclosure restriction and the PASI client has no association to that ASN, a Detailed Academic Report cannot be generated for that ASN.

For the purposes of this rule, the PASI Client is considered associated to the student when they are :

• The current Student Record Custodian of the student's record,
• Associated By Ministry
• Associated By Student Creation
• Associated By Current School Enrolment
• Associated By Last School Enrolment
• Associated By Recent School Enrolment

The following disclosure restrictions are excluded from the rule's logic:

• IndependentUnder18 (Student Disclosure Restriction)
• StudentOver18withGuardian (Student Disclosure Restriction)

This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Where:

• {StateProvinceId} is the submitted ASN in the service request

• Release 4.04 – Added/Updated
• Release 8.06 - Added Student Record Custodian
