This rule is used to validate:

  • The organization of the user making the request

To perform this validation, the following information is used:


To successfully add a document with a Document Type that is not organization based, then one of the following must be true:

  • The requesting organization is Alberta Education1), or
  • The requesting organization is a Student Record Custodian, or
  • The requesting organization is:
    • attempting to add a document that has a historical Document Type, and
    • a school, or the schools governing authority, with a non-deleted School Enrolment for the student.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Access Denied. Your organization cannot add this student document because the organization is not responsible for this student's record.
