This rule is used to validate the following data in a Student School Enrolment record:

• Student School Enrolment: Is Deleted

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• Student Citizenship Status
• Alberta Student Number
• School Authority Type

When an enrolment record has a Status of 'Active', a Student Citizenship Status must be recorded for the student except for enrolments with a School Authority Type code of 20 (School Authority Type) or 21 (School Authority Type).

• The following logic will be used to determine is the enrolment is “active”:
  • If the Registration Start Date is in the past and the Registration Exit Date is in the future.

• Note: Next Scan Date will be set as follows:
  • If the current date is before the Registration Start Date, then the Next Scan Date = Registration Start Date
  • If the current date is on or after the Registration Start Date and not greater than Registration Exit Date, then Next Scan Date = Registration Exit Date + 1
  • If the current date is > the Registration Exit Date then Next Scan Date is cleared out.

This rule only applies to Student School Enrolment records with a School Year that is equal to the current school enrolment school year.

The rule should be triggered on the start date of the enrolment as well as on the end date of the enrolment.

This rule will ignore student enrolments with an Enrolment Type Code of 414 This rule is not applicable for distance learning service providers ADLC S.0099 or CFED S.1363.

This rule will ignore student enrolments with a:

• Grants Program Code of 620, 621, 622, or 623, and
• Enrolment Type Code of 415 or 416

This rule should fail for citizenship status records having Student Citizenship Status of 9 (Citizenship Status). Student Citizenship Status of 9 (Citizenship Status) is not considered as a valid status for School Enrolments.

Valid Student Citizenship Status that will pass this validation rule are:

• 1 (Citizenship Status)
• 2 (Citizenship Status)
• 5 (Citizenship Status)

This rule will ignore Citizenship expiry dates for 2 (Citizenship Status)

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
