This rule is used to validate the following data in a Student Address record:

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

Description

The postal code provided does not appear to be a valid Canadian Postal Code.

This rule does not apply if:

1) the Address Format = ATS (Address Format) or RuralAlbertaAddress (Address Format)

OR

2) if the Expiry Date of the Student Address record has not been set or is future dated:

In these cases the Next Scan Date will not be set.

Otherwise, the Next Scan Date is set to:

  • 7 days from the current date (as Canada Post information is updated weekly in PASI).

Note: Next Scan Date is only set for Active Students.

This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

This rule follows the PASI Data Format Guidelines to determine if the address is in Canada.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Invalid Postal Code. The Postal Code ({PostalCode}) does not appear to be a valid Canadian Postal Code. (Address Reference #{RefID})
