This rule is used to validate:

• Birth Date
• First Name
• Middle Name
• Last Name

To perform this validation, the following information is used:

• Secondary Students
• Is Deactivated

When using the Submit Identification Information service to update student identification information, PASI Core will check to confirm that the updates for the student will not match a duplicate student in PASI.
PASI will search for the student based on submitted:

• First Name, Middle Name, Last Name against the existing Identity Name only
• Birth Date

Deactivated student data and student records for the submitted ASN or associated secondary ASNs are not considered as potential matches during the search.
The validation rule will pass if:

• no matching student is found in the database

This rule is in effect for all school years.

Note: This rule applies only to a Authority.
