Service Functionality

The business process for name changes on a credential will be to first update the Current Legal Name for the student then initiate Re-Issue Awarded Credential. If the school year is the only change, the credential can be reissued in the original “awarded name” . PASI will not create a new credential number for the credential if the school year and awarding name have not changed. Rule 44005 - No New Credential Information details how to determine if there is new awarded credential information warranting a new credential number.

Once complete, the service creates a Transcript Trigger to assess any impacts re-issuing this credential may have on other credentials.

Auditing

The usage of this service is audited using Service Auditing including the auditing of Caller Information.

Status Processor Triggering

If re-issuing a credential impacts the student's Maturity Date, a Course Enrolment Status Processor Trigger will be created for any of the student's Course Enrolment records with a Course Enrolment Start Date that is between the old and the new maturity date.

Response Information
