This service can be used to acknowledge a core alert in the Validation Status of a Student record for 3 purposes:

1. To identify that within a PASI Client, an end user is working on the resolution to a Core Alert,
2. To identify that within a PASI Client, an end user has reviewed an ‘Advice’ Core Alert and has accepted that the associated data is correct, or
3. To identify that someone within Alberta Education has overridden a ‘Warning’ Core Alert, and has deemed the data provided as acceptable.

The service can be accessed by systems with the Submit Student User role.

The following information is provided when using this service:

• Alberta Student Number (Student)
• Alert Code
• Arguments
• Acknowledgement Status

Note: Only Alberta Education can submit an Acknowledgement Status of Overridden.

The following rules are used to validate the information provided in the request:

• Rule 9002 - Invalid ASN
• Rule 9010 - Organization Not Associated to Student
• Rule 12000 - Invalid Core Alert
• Rule 12001 - Warning Cannot Be Acknowledged
• Rule 12002 - Advice Cannot be Overridden
• Rule 12003 - Overridden Warning Cannot Be Modified
• Rule 12004 - Cannot Override Warning

Once validation has completed successfully, the core alert acknowledgment status is updated in PASI Core.

The usage of this service is audited using Service Auditing including the auditing of Caller Information.

The following information is returned after a successful request has been processed:

• PASI Core Version
