Calculating Official Marks for Diploma Courses with Missing Mark Values
This Official Mark template is used by the Official Mark Calculator to calculate an Official Mark for Diploma Course Marks when the student has a mark value for course work or a diploma exam, but not both.
Missing School Marks
Marks are calculated in this way when there is at least one Diploma Exam Mark record with a Diploma Exam Mark Value, but there are is no Course Work with a Mark Value.
Selecting Marks
In this scenario, only one selected mark is used.
Selecting a Diploma Exam Mark
When there is only one Diploma Exam Mark with a Diploma Exam Mark Value, it is selected based on the Diploma Exam Mark Status:
- If the Diploma Exam Mark Status = PArtial Exemption (PE , then it is selected with a Mark Selection Reason of Partial Exemption Mark
- Otherwise, it is selected with a Mark Selection Reason of Exam Mark.
When there is more than one Diploma Exam Mark with a Diploma Exam Mark Value, the Diploma Exam Mark with the highest Diploma Exam Mark Value is selected based on the Diploma Exam Mark Status:
- If the Diploma Exam Mark Status = Partial Exemption (PE , then it is selected with a Mark Selection Reason of Partial Exemption Highest Mark
- Otherwise, it is selected with a Mark Selection Reason of Highest Exam Mark.
