This rule is used to validate the following data in an Address record:
To perform this validation, the following information is used:
Description
Postal Code for Canadian Address, ie Country = Canada, must be 7 characters in length.
Effective Period
- This validation rule is in effect for all school years.
Additional Notes
This rule follows the PASI Data Format Guidelines to determine if the address is in Canada.
Message
When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
Invalid Postal Code. The postal code provided ({Postal Code}) for {Address Type} address should be 7 characters in length.
Where {Address Type} parameter is replaced as follows:
For Create Student and Submit Student services
- Preferred Mailing
- Alternate Mailing
For Submit Mailing Address service
- Mailing
For Submit Parent Guardian service
- Mailing
- Physical
