This process is responsible for determining when a myPass Message should be sent in relation to a document order being processed by PASI.

This processor runs any time there is a change in the document order item information in the database. When there are changes to a document order item and one of the criteria below is met, this process sends a message to the student regarding that change.

The Document Notification processor looks for document orders that meet specific criteria to trigger a request to PED to send one of the messages defined below.

Messages are only sent when:

• The Document Order Item Alberta Student Number associated to the order is Primary
• The document order is for a Transcript or Credential
• The student associated to the order:
  • has an active myPass connection status
  • is not Is Deceased
  • does not have a Student Hold with a Student Hold Type of OfficialMarkHold (Student Hold Type)

These myPass messages are always sent to the student the order item pertains to (if they have an active connection), regardless of how the order was created¹⁾.

When the order was created by a connected Parent/Guardian or Authorized User the user will also be sent the message (if they have an active connection).

The processor ensures that two of the same messages are not sent to a student when the in relation to a single document order item.

A Certification Instructions Reminder Message message is sent when:

• the Order Item Status of a Transcript or credential document order item is set to ordered, and
• the Document Delivery Method of the order is:
  • Certification or
  • Certification and Courier, and
• the Document Processing Timeframe is:
  • ASAP or
  • Scheduled

A Credential Issued Message message is sent when:

• the Order Item Status of a credential document order item is set to Sent For Delivery

The message is sent for credential reprints and during 'first-run' bulk orders.

A Credential Undeliverable Message message is sent when:

• the Order Item Status of a credential document order item is set to Failed Delivery

This Credential Downloaded Message is sent to a student when:

• the Order Item Status of a credential document order item is set to Downloaded.

This Credential Not Downloaded Message is sent to a student when:

• the Order Item Status of a credential document order item is set to Expired.

A Pending Payment on the Transcript Document Order Message is sent when:

• the Order Status of a Transcript document order is set to Payment Pending

This Transcript Downloaded Message is sent to a student when:

• the Order Item Status of a Transcript document order item is set to Downloaded.

This Transcript Not Downloaded Message is sent to a student when:

• the Order Item Status of a Transcript document order item is set to Expired.

A Transcript Order Undeliverable Message message is sent when:

• the Order Item Status of a Transcript document order item is set to Failed Delivery

A Transcript Request Cancelled Message message is sent when:

• the Order Item Status of a Transcript document order item is set to cancelled, and
• the Document Processing Timeframe is Scheduled

A Transcript Request Received Message message is sent when:

• the Order Item Status of a Transcript document order item is set to ordered, and
• the Document Processing Timeframe is Scheduled

A Transcript Sent Message message is sent when:

• the Order Item Status of a Transcript document order item is set to Sent For Delivery, and
• the Document Processing Timeframe is Scheduled

A Certification Instructions Reminder Message message is sent:

• When the Order Item Status of a Transcript or credential document order item is set to ordered

• And the Document Delivery Method of the order is:
  • Courier or
  • Certification and Courier

• And the Document Processing Timeframe is
  • ASAP
  • Scheduled
