To perform this validation, the following information is used:


When provided, the Postal Code for Canadian Addresses must be in the format L#L #L#. (Letters must be in upper case)

  • This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

This rule follows the PASI Data Format Guidelines to determine if the address is in Canada.


When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

Invalid Postal Code. The postal code provided ({Postal Code}) for {Address Type} address should be in the format L#L #L#.

Where {Address Type} parameter is replaced as follows:

For Create Student and Submit Student services

  • Preferred Mailing
  • Alternate Mailing

For Submit Mailing Address service

  • Mailing

For Submit Parent Guardian service

  • Mailing
  • Physical
