Application for High School Equivalency Diploma - Alternative 1

This is a multi-step set of screens (based on the PASIprep Multi-Step Form Template) which allows a PASIprep user to process an application for the High School Equivalency Diploma for the Alternative 1 requirements. These screens are currently available to school, special cases and student records users.

PASIprep users must meet the HSED Alternative 1 Application Security requirements to access any page of the stepper. If the security requirements are not met, user will be denied access and will see an unexpected error instead, as defined in the PASIprep UI Guidelines

The user should only be able to access any screens (steps 1 - 5) within this process where the following requirements have been met:

The student’s High School Equivalency Diploma Credential Achievement Status is currently “Not Assessing”, and
The following conditions must be met:
- The user:
  - meets the update (Updating Student Credential Requirement Achievement) requirements of the data_access_rules, and
  - has the following PASIprep permissions:
    - PASIprep Level 15 Permission - Submit Student Credential Requirements
    - PASIprep Level 07A Permission - Manage Course Marks
    - needs to have the PASIprep permission identified as the Manually Submitted By PASIprep Role for the Student Requested (High School Equivalency Diploma) Credential Requirement, and
  - is not part of an “Not in Alberta – Nationally Contracted” school authority (or part of a school within a “Not in Alberta - Nationally Contracted” school authority), AND
- The student:
  - has not achieved or been awarded the Alberta High School Diploma, AND
  - has not achieved or been awarded the High School Equivalency Diploma, AND
  - is 19 years old as of Sept 01 of current school year, and
  - is deficient of the credential requirements for an Alberta High School Diploma
