This rule is used to validate the following data in a name record:

• Last Name
• First Name
• Middle Name
• Name Suffix

Names cannot contain repeated apostrophes.

• This validation rule is in effect for all school years.

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:

{FieldListWithValues} = {FieldName} ({Value}) * [, {FieldName} ({Value})]

{FieldName} = “First Name” / “Middle Name” / “Last Name” / “Suffix”

{Name Descriptor} = “Original” / “Alias” / “Legal” / “Parent/Guardian”

• Release 6.3 - Updated to include name descriptor in the message
