To perform this validation, the following information is used:

Description
The goal of this rule is to prevent School/Authorities and Ministry Users from editing the Alberta Student Numbers (ASNs) on the academic data that is automatically linked during the ASN Linking process.
This rule will fail when any one of the following conditions applies:
- The ASN has changed from it's original value

When this validation rule is triggered, the following message is returned:
Alberta Student Number {ASN} cannot be updated for this student record type.
Where:
{ASN} is original Alberta Student Number for the record being updated.
